Mechagodzilla vs Godzilla

There will be a sequel to this film.
Godzilla and Kong are currently the only active Titans on Earth in 2024, five years after fighting and killing his extraterrestrial nemesis Ghidorah for dominance in 2019. The climate on Skull Island has become unstable as a result of Ghidorah's storm combining with the storm cell that surrounds the island all the time, forcing Monarch to confine Kong inside a dome-shaped facility that simulated the island's environment, with an orphaned young Iwi girl named Jia, who is deaf and can communicate with Kong via sign language, providing him company.
When Jia comes to see Kong and offers him a toy, the Titan, knowing that he is stuck within the biodome, discovers this and quickly tosses a tree at it.
The Titan Truth Podcast is a Titan conspiracy theory podcast hosted by Apex Cybernetics employee Bernie Hayes. Hayes had just completed downloading material from the Titan facility in Pensacola when Godzilla appeared and attacked. Bernie finds a curious piece of technology among the remains of the facility after Godzilla's rampage that resembles a big robotic eye.
After the assault, popular opinion has changed against Godzilla, who is no longer considered as a savior for mankind. In the wake of Godzilla's recent assault on her school, Bernie's podcast listener Madison Russell is concerned. Trying to reason with her widowed father Mark (who is working as Monarch's director) about a potential lead on the source of Godzilla's rampage after school, she tries unsuccessfully, but he ignores all she says as he simply answers that beasts, just like humans, may transform. Madison later enlists the assistance of her closest friend Josh Valentine in order to track down the person responsible for Godzilla's rampage and uncover the mysteries of Apex.
On a modified boat, Maia's Apex squad, lead by Walter's daughter, Ilene, Jia, and a mildly drugged Kong are chained up. Jia soothes Kong down by enabling her and Kong to hold fingers in solidarity while Kong signs the word "home" much to Ilene's astonishment. A few days later, Ilene tells Nathan about her experience raising Jia as an adopted daughter after a series of devastating storms killed everyone else in Iwi, including Jia's parents. Jia was the only one to survive, thanks to the protection of Kong, and they soon formed an unbreakable bond because of it.
Nathan has no option except to stop the ships' power in order to trick Godzilla into thinking that he has destroyed them and Kong has been defeated. After inspecting the stricken ship, he decides to swim away, content with his win. The team chooses to fly Kong to an Antarctica opening to the Hollow Earth, where Godzilla was first frozen, as they prepare to reactivate the ships. It seems that Kong is unwilling to cross the threshold, despite Jia's insistence.
Recognizing Kong's inability to survive in the cold and the impossibility of returning him to Skull Island, Nathan asks Ilene if Kong will go if he believes there are others like him down there, and she instructs Jia to inform Kong that his family may be down there, prompting the Titan to enter the tunnel and the teams to follow in their HEAVs.
The plan of Walter to use the Hollow Earth's energy to defeat Mechagodzilla is then revealed. After seeing that Mechagodzilla is the true culprit, Madison discovers that Apex is attempting to replace the Titans with humans in order to take over as Earth's dominant species. Mechagodzilla's biological supercomputer and cockpit was acquired by Apex from Alan Jonah five years ago after it was bitten off by Godzilla during his battle with Ghidorah and is now a skull that Madison and the others stumble upon while trying to find an exit. Ren is sitting inside the severed head of Ghidorah.
Kong and Nathan's crew discover an environment similar to Skull Island within the Hollow Earth. They are unexpectedly assaulted while traversing the area by a pair of Warbats, with one destroying one of the HEAVs. Kong saved the party by killing the first Warbat and swinging its carcass onto the second, knocking it unconscious, but the beast recovers and constricts itself around him. Before the Warbat has a chance to suffocate Kong, the creature is hit by missiles fired from Nathan's team's HEAV, allowing Kong to escape and viciously beat the monster to death before gorging on its intestines.
Sensing Kong's presence in the Hollow Earth, Godzilla drills an atomic breath shaft into the environment, causing the temple to collapse. Kong and Nathan's team fight off a flock of Hellhawks while Maia and her team try to flee in their HEAV, only for Kong to grab it on their way out and, despite Maia attempting to shoot him in order to escape, he instantly crushes the aircraft in his hand after peeking inside to make sure that Jia, Ilene and Nathan aren't in there, killing Maia and her personnel inside.
It is shown that Kong and Godzilla have both regained consciousness and are able to stand on their own two feet. Kong throws a construction crane into a building, distracting Godzilla to the point he ambushes him from above and places the Titan in a chokehold intending to strangle him, only for Godzilla to break free and unleash his full fury against Kong, eventually dislocating his left arm, slashing Kong with his claws and even stomping on his chest twice, despite Kong trying to force Godzilla off of him by punching his wounded thigh. With Kong trapped and held down, Godzilla unleashes an angry roar of defiance, but Kong remains defiant in the face of defeat.
Walter orders Ren to send Mechagodzilla back to Apex headquarters to kill Godzilla. Despite Ren's instructions not to utilize the new Hollow Earth energy source without testing, the mecha is turned on. Bernie, Madison, and Josh are also captured by the security personnel and brought before Walter. Madison accuses Walter of admitting responsibility for allowing mankind to face Godzilla and the Titans, but Walter denies stirring Godzilla's war and causing the entire disaster.
In the aftermath, Nathan, Ilene, and Jia sit together amid the rubble, while Madison reconnects with Mark and introduces him to Josh and Bernie, who is overjoyed to see Mark and invites him onto his podcast to discuss the Roswell Monarch facility. Suddenly, Godzilla approaches Kong, causing the Titan to take his axe and ready to restart the battle. Godzilla, on the other hand, does not attack and rather stares Kong down. Kong lowers his axe, putting an end to the conflict between his species and Godzilla's. Godzilla and Kong see each other as equals after they are no longer competitors, before Godzilla returns to the sea quietly, accompanied by Kong and the assembled people.
Monarch will have built an observation station in the Hollow Earth at a later date. When Kong walks by one morning, Ilene, Nathan, and Jia are all there to observe him. To declare his new home and kingdom, the Ruler of the Hollow Earth, Kong leaps onto an overhanging rock and pounds his chest, roaring as he declares himself the new king of this land.
